FWR.AA is an installation and interaction designed by daniela del mar and Sia Hanna for Vanport Mosaic that honors the many layered histories of displacement and loss on the land of the current day Expo Center and investigates the responsibility of the present moment.
In our collaboration, I created boards to introduce the displacements on the Expo Center site including theft of land from Native tribes, the incarceration of Japanese Americans, and the Vanport Floods. And ask what should come after in response for the re-envisioning of the site.
And facilitated conversations, bringing the activity to other spaces to spread awareness and imagination.
