Building Community

Midland Library Patterns:
Multnomah County Libraries

Pattern making workshops brought cultural communities together through storytelling. Community members brought objects of significance to share their stories. Reflecting on significant themes, they then created patterns which were later woven together to create the pattern routed on the walls of the Midland Library, supporting a feeling of belonging for patrons before even entering the doors.
