Building Community

Masked Perspectives:

Through mask making, we collectively consider the ways we are seen and choose to be seen, while revisiting what we know of ourselves, and creating towards the ways that we want to be and show up.

“Love takes off masks that we fear we cannot livewithout and know we cannot live within.” ― James A. Baldwin

This interactive workshop aims to create a space for self-reflection, creative expression, and meaningful connections. We explore through drawing, collage, stitching, storytelling, and deconstruction.

*Hosted for the Japanese American Museum of Oregon, Design Justice PDX, and Alder Commons.
